I was wrong.

Well for those who have not heard I was a supporter of John Edwards for president, so after the news of his extramarital affair I can only say I was wrong. I am only glad his bid to be president ended in failure. Not because he would have made a bad president but because he lied about the affair and had that affair while his wife was battling cancer. The very battle he used as a basis for his so called strength and purpose. I guess this may well be proof everyone is capable of everything.

Everyone needs to pay attention to the current renewed hype over labeling Iran as a terrorist group...that is the way Bush created the current war in Iraq. With the new laws after 9/11 it allows the President to bypass congress more than ever and allows him to hide more information and detain those they deem "Enemy Combatants"(until the federal courts decide what an acceptable time limit should be). Well it seems as if the "hope" I tried to maintain for the future of our nation and how it will relate to the rest of the world is fading fast. Everyone I meet and speak to these days has either given up, or has no clue about what is happening around them in our country. Gone are the days when citizens questioned their leaders, instead we simply accept as fact whatever we are told on CNN or to whatever outlet we may subscribe. Over the last twenty years or so we have become a nation all about "ME" or "I", what can I get or what about ME. What happened to humanity? We will step over a homeless man to get to a Starbucks.
