Another McCain stupid example.

McCain is such an idiot. No actually that might be to easy, letting him off the hook for being simply unintelligent. I really do feel this is just more proof that the Republican party will say and do whatever it takes to win.....WHATEVER it takes!!!!!!! The Democratic party has been getting beat up by these people who focus on winning at any cost, while the Democrats continue to run campaigns the old fashion way...on the issues and differences of the candidates. What type of sad pathetic person worries more about trashing their opponent than presenting their case to the voters? Put the policies and plans side by side and do the research for yourselves. Then make your choice that way...stop waiting for Fox News (Fix Noise) and other news outlets to sum it up for you. Or give you a 30 second sound or video clip. I don't want an average Joe Six Pack retard running our government. Look where we are now. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!!! Just because someone acts like you does not mean they really care about you...let alone whether they can actually do the job. When did it become such an important and valued idea to elect those who "seem more like us"? Let's face it, the vast majority of us are not smart enough to run the affairs of the most powerful and complex government on the planet. And for those of you that feel you are smart enough, GET IN THE GAME! I am pretty fucking smart but I understand and accept that I have no clue overall on the inner workings of the global society we must now live and compete in today. A friend of mine once said, "Being smart is not knowing all the answers, but knowing where and how to find the answers". He said that like 20 years ago...being a little older and wiser now I figure he probably didn't originate that saying, but it is still very profound and true. So you might think that is an endorsement for the "Average Joe", well it is not. As I said part of being smart is admitting you don't know everything and knowing to seek out that which you do not know. Not to just fake it hoping no one will notice. Or even worse knowing just enough to understand that most of those you govern are not smart enough to catch on and speak out anyway, thus allowing you to say and do whatever you like to get what you want.

Don't mess with scientists

Thu Oct 9, 2:55 PM ET

If there's one rule in election-year politics, it's this: Don't mess with the science crowd. OK, labor unions and the NRA matter too, but John McCain may want to brush up on his stars and planets after Tuesday night's debate.

In the debate, McCain portrayed Barack Obama as an excessive spender, and he punctuated his attack (twice) with this example:
"[Obama] voted for nearly a billion dollars in pork barrel earmark projects, including, by the way, $3 million for an overhead projector at a planetarium in Chicago, Illinois. My friends, do we need to spend that kind of money?"

Turns out, a lot of people think we do. This is no ordinary overhead projector from your 5th grade classroom. The blog Cosmic Variance sums it up:
"If you've ever had the pleasure of visiting the Adler Planetarium, you'd probably guess that the 'overhead projector' he's talking about is the spectacular 'Sky Theater' -- one of the most engrossing, gorgeous venues for displaying visuals about space."

The Adler Planetarium even issued a statement, noting that the request, ironically, was not even funded:

"To clarify, the Adler Planetarium requested federal support -- which was not funded -- to replace the projector in its historic Sky Theater, the first planetarium theater in the Western Hemisphere.... To remain competitive and ensure national security, it is vital that we educate and inspire the next generation of explorers to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math."
