Well it seems as if the "hope" I tried to maintain for the future of our nation and how it will relate to the rest of the world is fading fast. Everyone I meet and speak to these days has either given up, or has no clue about what is happening around them in our country. Gone are the days when citizens questioned their leaders, instead we simply accept as fact whatever we are told on CNN or to whatever outlet we may subscribe. Kicking ass is cool.

On Tuesday John McCain was asked by a reporter about trade policy with Iran, current policy is supposed to be that trade is limited to Medical, and Agricultural shipments. When asked his thoughts on why exports to Iran increased by 10 fold under the Bush administration with the largest export being cigarettes McCain responded with "Maybe that is a way of killin 'em". I actually saw and heard the interview....he said right after that that he was only kidding....but given the current issues regarding Iran is he really just kidding or is it a sign of things to come?Furthermore if that were something said by a democrat they would be hammered in the press...this is simply because the democrats have failed to stand up for their points of view out of fear for being portrayed as soft on whatever it is the conservatives are selling that day. Bush wacked.

First let me start by saying to all of you, please do not fall for one of the oldest tricks in politics.... reading the polls and thinking that this is "all but a lock" because the poll numbers say so. The republicans want you to believe the poll numbers, even though the numbers might be absolutely wrong. GO VOTE ANYWAY!!!!!!!!!! THE WORST THING WOULD BE TO THINK WE HAVE IT SO LOCKED UP THAT ENOUGH PEOPLE STAY HOME ON ELECTION DAY TO ALLOW MCCAIN AND THE GOP TO STEAL ANOTHER ELECTION!!!!!!!!!!! And for those who think your vote doesn't matter, about half of all states now mandate their electoral votes go to the popular vote winner. So it does matter, look it up!!!!!
